She is best known for being an original cast member in Jez Butterworth's acclaimed stage play Jerusalem, for playing Kimberley in the Ricky Gervais sitcom Extras and for playing eccentric receptionist Valerie Pitman for ten years in the popular BBC daytime soap Doctors.
